LAKELAND, Fla. – Following a strong 2026 campaign, the Florida Southern College beach volleyball team earned multiple honors from the Sunshine State Conference, highlighted by two pairs being named to the All-SSC Second Team and freshman standout Ella Pringle earning Co-Freshman of the Year recognition.
The Moccasins concluded the regular-season with an impressive 15-8 overall record, showcasing consistency and depth throughout the lineup.
Leading the way for Florida Southern were the duo of Hailey Carefoot and Sarah Idler, who secured All-SSC Second Team honors after compiling a 16-7 record as a pair. The tandem proved to be a reliable force all season long, delivering key wins in crucial matchups and anchoring the Mocs' lineup.
Joining them on the All-SSC Second Team were Ella Pringle and Lauren Passaglia, who posted a 15-8 record together. The pair demonstrated strong chemistry and resilience throughout the season, consistently competing at a high level against top conference opponents.
Palm Beach Atlantic's Peyton Baro and Florida Southern's Pringle were tabbed as the Sunshine State Conference Co-Freshman of the Year, sponsored by Athletic Solutions.
Pringle, a 5-9 Florida native from DeLand, is the other voted SSC Co-Freshman of the Year. She saw action in 16 official matches, delivering a 10-6 record. Pringle spread her time across three courts, doing most of her damage on flight No. 3 with a 5-2 record, while also going 4-2 on flight No. 4.
Florida Southern will now turn its attention to postseason play at the second Sunshine State Conference Beach Volleyball Championship, set for April 10–11 at the Beach Volleyball Courts on the campus of Saint Leo University. The tournament will follow a double-elimination format, with the remaining team in the winner's bracket facing the advancing team from the consolation bracket once to determine the champion. All matches will be played to a decision, and Sunday, April 12, will serve as a rain date if necessary.
The Moccasins enter the tournament as the No. 4 seed and will open play against No. 5 seed Eckerd at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
