TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Southern College women's cross country team finished seventh among 28 teams at the Florida State Pre-Regional Meet on Friday morning at the Apalachee Regional Park.
The Moccasins, the second NCAA Division II team to finish, had 199 points for seventh place overall. Florida State University, the host, won the meet with 17 points, joining other NCAA DI teams: Southern Mississippi, Miami, Florida Atlantic, and Florida Gulf Coast. Embry-Riddle finished fifth overall with 155 points, with the Mocs topping Palm Beach Atlantic, Nova Southeastern, Tampa, Lynn, and Eckerd as other Sunshine State Conference teams who participated.
Grace Reed was the top Moc as she placed seventh in the 6K in 21:37.0 with a score of seven.
Emma Pfeiffer finished 46th in 22:52.6 and scored 41 points, while
Emma Howes placed 48th in 22:57.4 with a score of 43.
Nika Gividen added a 57th-place finish in 23:03.3 and scored 52 points.
