AS A JUNIOR (2019-20)
HONORS: SSC Swimmer of the Week (11/25/19) … CSCAA First-Team Scholar All-America … Team MVP … SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll … CSCAA Division II All-American … All-SSC First Team … led the team with the fastest times in the 200-backstroke (1:47.78), 100-breaststroke (58.19), 200-IM (1:51.89) and 400-IM (3:57.82)… had the second fastest team time in the 50-backstroke (24.50), 100-backstroke (51.58) and 500-freestyle (4:32.97)… placed second in the 200-IM, with a time of 1:54.07, and fourth in the 500-free, with a time of 4:41.20, and took second place in the 400-IM with a time of 4:04.41 in the Shark Invitational (Oct. 11)… was the fastest in the 100-back finishing in just 52.46 seconds and won the 200-back in 1:54.13 against Rollins (Oct. 18)… won the 200-back in 1:51.49, the 400-IM in 4:04.45, and placed second in the 100-back in 51.58 against Tampa (Oct. 25)… won the 200-IM in 1:51.89 against Saint Leo (Nov. 2)… was named SSC Swimmer of the Week after he: won the 200-backstroke (1:51.92), and the 200-IM (1:53.26), while placing second in the 100-back (58.19) against Florida Sate (Nov. 9)… won the 200-individual medley, in 1:51.89, finished second in the 500-free in 4:32.97, finished first in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 3:57.82, and won the 200-yard backstroke with a mark of 1:47.78 while dominating in the Panther Invite… swam the fastest in three separate events against No. 2 Emory (Jan. 10) as he won the 200-IM (1:54.47), 200-back (1:50.76), and 200-breast (2:08.94)… followed that up by winning three more events the following day against No. 6 Nova Southeastern as he was the first to finish in the 100-breast (57.97), 200-breast (2:07.21), and 200-IM (1:52.11)… won the 200-breast (2:07.78) and 400-IM (4:02.56) against Indian River (Jan. 24)… in the SSC Championship Meet he: posted an NCAA "B" qualifying time of 3:56.14 to advance to the finals in the 400-IM, posted a fifth-place finish in the 200-IM as he recorded an NCAA "B" time of 3:54.57 in the finals heat, finished in sixth (4:31.44) in the 500-free, and finished in fourth (1:47.23) in the 200-back finals.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19)… CSCAA First Team All-American (800-free relay); CSCAA Honorable Mention All-America (200-back, 200-IM); All-SSC First Team; SSC Swimmer of the Week (1/14/19), SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll… in the season opener at Rollins, was victorious in the 200-backstroke in 1:53.01, then placed second in the 200-IM… against Florida State, won the 200-backstroke with a winning time of 1:51.90… recorded his best time of the season in the 100-back… At the Panther Invitational, won the 200-IM, posting a time of 1:53.26, and the 400-IM in 3:58.67, an NCAA provisional qualifying time… also won the 200-back in 1:48.77… at the Spartan Invite, in the 200-IM finished sixth overall in 1:49.88 with an NCAA "B" time… in the 400-IM he placed Lopez fourth with an NCAA "B" time of 3:52.37… came back to place fifth the 100-back in 50.28… in the 200-backstroke, he finished second in 1:46.74… against Emory, had his first win of the night in the 200-backstroke, clocking in at 1:54.00… later won the 200-IM in 1:53.36… in a dual meet with Nova Southeastern, posted wins in the 200-backstroke and 200-IM… against Indian River State, placed second in the 200-free… at the SSC Championships, took home the bronze medal in the 200-IM in 1:48.63 with an NCAA "B" time… claimed silver in the 400-IM, behind teammate Matthew Holmes, in 3:52.25, with both Moccasins hitting NCAA "B" times… claimed the silver medal in the 200-back, his third medal of the meet… at the NCAA Championships, held in Indianapolis, made the consolation final of the 200-IM where he placed 12th overall in 1:48.71… also competed in the 200-IM, but was DQ’ed… earned a silver medal as a part of the runner-up 800-freestyle relay team, in in 6:29.64… was eliminated in prelims of the 100-back with a time of 49.56… in the 200-back, posted his best time of the season in the morning prelims, with qualifying for the consolation final, where he placed 11th overall in 1:45.26...
AS A FRESHMAN (2017-18)… First Team All-American in the 200-backstroke (7th)… Honorable Mention All-American in the 200-IM and 400-IM… Sunshine State Conference Freshman-of-the-Year… Second Team All-SSC… SSC Swimmer-of-the-Week for January 15… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… In addition to the 200-backstroke and two individual medley events, also competed in the 500-freestyle at the NCAA Division II National Finals… Had NCAA provisional qualifying times in the 500-free, 200-back, 200-IM, and 400-IM… Missed a provisional time in the 100-back by 0.22 seconds… Also helped the 800-freestyle hit an NCAA qualifying time during the conference championships… SSC champion in the 200-backstroke by finishing 0.49 seconds ahead of freshman teammate Brandon Dyck… Won another gold medal at the SSC Championships by anchoring the Mocs’ 800-freestyle relay team… Took part in all 10 regular season meets in addition to the conference national championships… Regular swimmer in both backstroke and both IM events… Swam the 500-free three times, and hit an NCAA “B” time while placing fourth at the SSC Championships in only his second 500-freestyle race of the season… Swam the 200-freestyle once, but picked up a win in that race during a dual meet against Rollins… Tied with Luis Jasso and Matthew Holmes for the team lead with 11 individual wins (five in the 200-back, three in the 200-IM, and one apiece in the 400-IM, 200-free and 500-free)… Won the 200 and 500-freestyle races in the dual meet vs. Rollins… Had four different dual meets with two individual wins, all of them against other SSC schools (Tampa, Rollins, Nova Southeastern and Saint Leo)… Part of two relay wins during the season, the 200-medley at Tampa, and the 800-freestyle in the SSC Championships… Ranked #1 on the Florida Southern times list in the 200-backstroke, and was #2 in the 100-back and 400-IM… #3 on the Florida Southern times list in the 200-IM and 500-free… Had a top-10 time in the 200-free… Finished the year #9 on the NCAA Division II national times list in the 200-back… Posted times in the 200 and 400-IM that placed him 18th and 12th on the Division II times list in those events.
