Huge freshman year for the Italian native...multiple wins throughout the events during the year...named SSC Swimmer of the Week in October after a great Panther Invitational run...left SSC Championships with title wins in 100 and 200-yard breaststroke, with third-place finishes in 200 and 400 IM...helped the men's team win the SSC Title and earned All-SSC First Team and SSC Freshman of the Year...qualified for four different events for the NCAA Championships (200 IM, 100 and 200 BR, and 400 IM)...became 27th Individual National Champion in Moccasin history by winning the 100 breaststroke national title...came in a close second in the 200 BR at NCAA Finals...five All-American honors.
