Competed in just one event due to injury … saw action at the Southern Showcase … completed the 8K course in 26:08.42 to take 156^th.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2023)
Competed in seven of Florida Southern’s eight races on the season … posted the first and third fastest 8K times on the squad … led the way with a 24:43.80 at the UAH Chargers XC Invitational for the top 8K time of 2023 … stopped the clock at 24:59.6 to take third overall at the SSC Championship and earn the third fastest time of the season for FSC … earned the third fastest 10K mark of the season for FSC at 31:42.8 at the NCAA Championship while taking 148^th … lone top-10 finish came at the SSC Championship (3^rd).

AS A FRESHMAN (2022)
Participated in six races for the Moccasins including both the SSC Championship and NCAA South Region Championship … posted the top 8K time of the season for the Mocs at the Charger Invitational in 24:45.2 … ran two of the top-seven times for FSC … top 10K performance came at the NCAA South Region Championship with a mark of 32:25.3, good for second on the team … top individual finish was seventh which came at both the EFSC Fall Classic and the Abbey Invitational … took 12^th overall at the SSC Championship and 32^nd overall at the NCAA South Region Championship.

Son of Brian and Darlene Matthew … has a sister, Maria … chose Florida Southern for the amazing cross country and track programs, the campus layout and the small student-to-teacher ratio … favorite professional athletes include Jakob Ingebrigsten, Craig Engels and Grant Fisher ... enjoys Frisbee, surfing, fishing and being active outdoors when not out running.
