Adam Antor was announced as Florida Southern College's Director of Esports in August of 2021.
Antor will migrate south to the Sunshine State from the Wolverine State, where he spent two seasons leading the esports team Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
As the head esports coach at Aquinas, Antor recruited over 30 student-athletes and quickly built a nationally recognized team. In their inaugural season in 2019-20, the Saints finished as national runners-up after reaching the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) Rocket League championship. Under Antor's watch, Aquinas also had tremendous success in League of Legends, winning the Michigan Esports Conference (MEC) title in 2020-21.
Antor's coaching experience also includes three-and-a-half years at West Catholic High School in Grand Rapids, where he launched the state's premier high school program. West Catholic's state-of-the-art gaming lab was the first of its kind at any high school in the state, and he led the Rocket League team to a top-5 finish nationally. In addition to coaching at the high school level in Michigan, Antor previously served on the Michigan High School Esports Federation board and West Michigan Sports Commission esports task force.
Alongside his passion for gaming, Antor, who has an extensive background in marketing and digital media, is an avid photographer. Not only has he covered numerous esports events across the country, but he's also photographed other athletic events such as the Grand Rapids Triathlon, Grand Rapids Marathon, and Aquinas' varsity sports competitions.
A 2014 graduate of Truman State University, Antor recently completed a master's in management with a concentration in marketing at Aquinas in May of 2021.
