Biography

Returning All-Sunshine State Conference outfielder who is in her second season at Florida Southern after transferring from Hillsborough Community College… Made the all-conference team twice at HCC and was a junior college All-American as a sophomore… Combined junior college and Florida Southern totals give her 205 hits and 101 RBI going into her senior season, with only three errors in 337 chances for a .991 fielding percentage… One of six seniors on this year’s team.

AS A JUNIOR (2017)
HONORS: First Team All-Sunshine State Conference outfielder… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Started all 41 games in center field and played every inning… One of only three Moccasins to start every game (Bell, and now-graduated infielders Eric Morrissey and Leah Pemberton)… Hit leadoff in 33 games and #2 in the other eight… Team leader in batting average (.345), hits (50), runs scored (29), doubles (9), triples (2), extra-base hits (12), total bases (66), slugging percentage (.455), and stolen bases (8)… Tied for the team lead in home runs (1) and sacrifice flies (3)… Only home run came in 9-1 win vs. Georgia Southwestern, leading off the bottom of the first inning of a game played in St. Augustine (Feb. 11)… Hit a team-best .388 (33-for-85) in SSC play, which ranked fourth in the conference, and .500 or better in series against Eckerd (8-for-13), Lynn (6-for-11) and Florida Tech (4-for-8)… Led the Mocs with 15 multi-hit games and three 3-hit games… Had the team’s longest hitting streak at eight games from Feb. 11 to March 3, and hit .531 (17-for-32) during that streak… Had a 6-game hitting streak in April where she hit .524 (11-for-21)… Had a season-high four hits, going 4-for-5, in a 9-1 win at Eckerd (Feb. 17)… Season-high of three RBI came in 9-6 win at Tampa where she went 2-for-2 with a walk and two sac flies (April 29), which was one of three perfect games she had at the plate in 2017… Other two were a 3-for-3, 1-walk performance vs. Lynn (Feb. 25), and a 3-for-3 game vs. Florida Tech (April 8)… Only game with two extra-base hits was a 5-2 win vs. Southwest Minnesota State with two doubles (March 7)… Had a .500 batting average (9-for-18) in the seventh inning or extra innings… Hit leadoff singles in the 10th and eighth innings to spark extra-inning wins over Eckerd (Feb. 17) and Tampa (April 28)… RBI triple in the bottom of the seventh drove in the tying run in a 4-3 win over Lynn (Feb. 24)… Committed only one error in 75 chances (throwing error at Palm Beach Atlantic) for a .987 fielding percentage… Led the Moccasins with six outfield assists… Fielding percentage was second in the SSC among outfielders, trailing only teammate Desirae Klumpp, who was perfect in 84 chances… Helped the Moccasins set a new school record with only two outfield errors as a team throughout the season.

AT HILLSBOROUGH COMMUNITY COLLEGE (2015-16)
2-year starter for the Hawks under head coach Ray Seymour where she was a 2-time all-conference selection and 2-time team MVP… Owned a career .408 career batting average in junior college (155-for-380) with 38 doubles, seven triples, seven home runs, 89 RBI, and 18 steals in 21 attempts… Committed only two errors in 262 chances for a .992 fielding percentage in the outfield… As a sophomore, was an NJCAA First Team All-American and voted the Suncoast Conference Player-of-the-Year… Also named First Team All-Suncoast Conference, First Team All-State and NFCA Second Team All-Region… Selected as the NJCAA National Player-of-the-Week in early March… Won the Marucci Elite Hitter Award by leading District H in hitting with a .477 batting average (84-for-176)… Had 22 multi-hit games, including 10 games with at least three hits, and four games with four hits… Put together a 21-game hitting streak from Feb. 9-March 8 of her sophomore year… Also had a .508 on-base percentage and .750 slugging percentage, leading the team in both of those categories… Hit 25 doubles, four triples and five home runs, had 56 RBI, scored 44 runs and stole four bases… Had only four strikeouts in 176 at-bats… Committed only two errors in 144 chances… As a freshman was HCC’s Female Athlete-of-the-Year and a Second Team All-Suncoast Conference selection… Hit .348 with 13 doubles, three triples, two home runs, 38 RBI, 14 steals and 34 runs… Dean’s List student as a freshman and sophomore.

In high school… 2014 graduate of Durant High School in Plant City where she was a 4-year letter winner for head coach Matt Carter… First Team All-State and First Team All-Hillsborough County selection as a senior when she hit .368 with six home runs, 45 RBI, a .419 on-base percentage and .715 slugging percentage… Team captain, offensive player-of-the-year, and MVP while leading the Cougars to the district title as a senior… Second team all-county as a junior… Helped Durant win the 8A State Championship as a sophomore when the Cougars defeated Miami Palmetto 8-2… Finished her high school career with a .327 average, .370 OBP, 28 doubles, six triples, 14 home runs, 77 RBI and 30 stolen bases… Played travel ball with the Florida Fire from 2005-09, coached by Mike Bell, and the Florida Gold from 2009-12 where she was also coached by Mike Bell and won the 2011 FAST National Championships… Played one year with the Tampa Mustangs in 2014 where her coach was Jaime Boynton, and helped them win ASA state and national championships… Has several of her former teammates playing college softball, including Desirae Klumpp, another senior outfielder on the Florida Southern roster from Hillsborough Community College, and 2018 newcomers Alli Carroll and Aubrey Ehlers… In addition to softball, played one year of volleyball and two years of golf at Durant High School… Personal… Daughter of William and Toni Bell… Has one older sister (Lauren)… Favorite pro sports team are the Tampa Bay Rays.
