Biography
As a junior (2013-14)… Participated in 10 meets… Won two individual races, capturing the 100-IM at Saint Leo (Oct. 25) and the 200-IM at Rollins (Nov. 22)… Had three second-place finishes during the season too… Also part of the winning 400-freestyle relay team against Indian River State (Jan. 18)… Achieved an NCAA “B” qualifying time in the 200-IM at the Sunshine State Conference Championships where he placed fourth… Finished 17th in individual scoring at the SSC Championships with 42 points… Second on the Florida Southern times list in the 200-breaststroke, first in the 100-IM, third in the 200-IM, and second in the 400-IM.
As a sophomore (2012-13)… CSCAA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention… NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Competed in all eight of Florida Southern’s regular season meets, as well as the SSC Championships, and had three runner-up finishes… Earned second place in the 200-butterfly in dual meet against Bridgeport (Jan. 5), and in the 200-IM vs. Indian River State (Jan. 12)… Also placed second in the 400-IM in dual meet at Nova Southeastern (Jan. 19)… Finished fourth out of 19 swimmers in the 400-IM at the Nova Southeastern Invitational in December... Florida Southern’s top swimmer in the 400-IM at the SSC Championships.
As a freshman (2011-12)… SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll... swam in 12 meets ... recorded season's eighth-fastest 200-yard freestyle (1:47.74) vs. Tampa (10/15) and had seventh-fastest 500-yard freestyle time (4:47.38) at NSU Invitational ... swam a time of 26.60, which was the season's sixth-fastest, in 50-yard backstroke vs. Daytona State (1/28) ... recorded fifth-fastest time in 200-yard backstroke (2:04.06) at All-Florida Invitational ... swam season's fifth and sixth fastest 100 and 200-yard breaststroke times ... had second fastest 200-yard butterfly time (1:54.52) in preliminaries of SSC Championships ... swam season's second and fourth fastest 200 and 400 individual medley times ... was a member of the school's fourth fastest 800-yard freestyle relay team that swam a time of 6:49.51 at the SSC Championships.
