Competed in three meets ... ran a season-best 9:55.66 to finish 25th in the 3,000 meter run at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance Meet (2/20) ... posted a season-best finish of 17th in the 1,500 meter run at the UT Ryan McCall Invitational (4/12) as he ran a time of 4:31.49 ... had a season best time in the 1,500-meter run (4:29.73) at the Bulls Invitational (3/20), where he finished 23rd overall ... ran the 5,000 meter run in a time of 17:47.79 at the Bulls Invitational (3/20) as he placed 41st overall.

AS A FRESHMAN (2014)
Competed in three events ... ran a season-best 4:39.96 in the 1,500-meter race at the USF Invitational ... finished with a 4:41.53 in the 1,500 at the UNF Spring Break Invitational ... took 11th place in the 800-meter run at the Bulls Invitational with a time of 2:12.20.

HIGH SCHOOL
2013 graduate of Lakeland High School ... was a two-year member of the swim team for two years under coach Lee Stauffer and the track team under coach Vernon Forsett ... qualified for regionals in the 4x800 relay as a senior ... was a City Champion in the 100 breaststroke and also qualified for regionals as a senior ... finished in the Top 20 of high school graduating class ... earned a 4.1 cumulative GPA in high school ... received the Jason B. Yeet Award for Excellence in Polk County for Academics and Athletics as a senior in 2013.

Born: 8/3/95 ... son of Herminio and Joy Cuervo... has two sisters, Maria, who graduated from FSC in 2015, and Milagros (17) ... is a member of the ROTC and the College Republicans at FSC ... serves a  volunteer swim coach at Kathleen High School ... lists the Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Bucs and the Orlando Magic as his favortie professional sports teams ... career goal is to become a JAG Officer in the U.S. Army.
