Biography
Cheryl Kimball holds a master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Public Safety from the University of Toledo and the University of Virginia and currently serves as a Captain with the City of Lakeland Police Department. Throughout her career, she has been a trailblazer in law enforcement, breaking the glass ceiling for women in male-dominated roles while actively mentoring the officers who follow in her footsteps. Cheryl made history as the first female member of a SWAT team in the Polk County area and holds the longest tenure for a female on SWAT in the country, exemplifying leadership, resilience, and a lasting commitment to service.
