Kate Wallace is a University of Florida alumna who earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations in 2007 and later completed a certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School. A former swimmer and tennis player, Kate serves as Director of State Government Affairs for Florida at Spectrum and as the District 3 School Board Member for Polk County Public Schools. She is especially proud of founding Lakeland Leads, now ConnectED Polk, in 2019, helping build partnerships that have brought expanded educational opportunities and resources to local students. A passionate college football fan, Kate has also served as a volunteer scout for the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl since 2011 and has attended games at 15 of the SEC’s 16 member stadiums.
