HONORS: SSC Offensive Player of the Week (3/09/20); Inside Lacrosse Women’s Player of the Year Watchlist; Inside Lacrosse All-American First Team; SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll… she was one of five to start in all nine games for the Mocs in 2020… she recorded 26 goals and eight assists for 34 total points as she was just six off of her freshman year total in points and surpassed her mark with assists… she picked up eight groundballs, won seven draw controls, and caused five turnovers… she recorded at least a goal in all nine games and recorded four or more points in six of those nine games… her best single performance came as she totaled six goals in the Mocs 15-14 loss to then-No. 2 Queens (N.C.) (March 2)… she also recorded five goals in the Mocs 17-5 victory over then-No. 6 Regis (Colo.) (March 6)… she was awarded a at least one free-position shot in every game and recorded at least one free-position goal in all but one game… before the season was cut shot she was on pace to nearly double her stats from her freshman year.
AS A FRESHMAN (2019)
HONORS: All-SSC Second Team… she is one of two Moccasin freshmen in 2019 to earn all-conference honors as she was named to the all-SSC second team… she began her collegiate career with 32 goals which sits as the fourth most for a freshman… she trails Emily Santoli (2015 - 41), Megan Asper (2012 - 38), and Lorianne Hoover (2012 - 36)… she is third on the team with 25 draw controls… on the season, she picked up 16 ground balls and caused six turnovers… she has recorded the game-winning goal three times in wins at Wingate (March 8), against Slippery Rock (March 13), and at Tiffin (April 12)… she set career highs with four points in back-to-back games as she recorded three goals and an assist at then-No. 21 Saint Leo (April 9), and then repeated her performance three days later at Tiffin.
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduate of Upper Arlington High School in Columbus, Ohio … four-year letter winner in lacrosse... also played high school soccer... won the OHSAA Division I state championship all four years... tallied 59 goals and 18 assists in her junior year … compiled 66 goals and 15 assists as a senior … voted First Team OCC and First Team All-Region … also recognized as the Best Attacker in 2017 … played club for Lucky Lax.
PERSONAL
Daughter of Christine and Rendel Smith … has three sisters, Bailey, Brooke, and Bethany … comes from a long line of college athletes: mother, Christine, played basketball at Cedarville University from 1986-1988, and father, Rendel, swam at Miami University, 1989-1990.
