Kara Koolage

Kara Koolage is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Florida Southern College women's lacrosse team. Koolage joins Florida Southern after spending three years as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Salisbury University, where she helped lead the Sea Gulls to an overall record of 55-8 and an NCAA Division III National Championship in 2014.

As a player at Salisbury, Koolage helped lead her alma mater to a pair of NCAA Division III Championships (2010, 2013) and four-straight Capital Athletic Conference titles. The Sea Gulls finished as the national runner up in 2012, and advanced to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals in 2011.

A team captain as a senior, Koolage appeared in 72 matches at Salisbury and made 43 starts. She finished her career with 45 goals and 14 assists and, in her final collegiate match, scored the opening goal of the 2013 NCAA National Championship just 88 seconds into Salisbury's 12-5 win over Trinity.

Koolage is a 2014 graduate of Salisbury with a degree in exercise science. In addition to her coaching duties with the Sea Gulls, Koolage has served as a club coach and was the founder and director of TyKoo Lax, LLC, which provided individual skill instruction and speed and agility training to lacrosse players.
