Biography

AS A SENIOR (2019)
HONORS:
IWLCA All-America Second Team; All-SSC First Team; SSC Defensive Player of the Week (3/11/19, 3/18/19); All-South Region First Team; IWLCA All-Star… she earned her third consecutive IWLCA All-America honors and found herself on the second team for the third time as she was named to the second team in 2018 and the first team in 2017… she completed her senior year with 145 draw controls, 18 goals, 18 assists, 31 ground balls, and caused 17 turnovers… she tallied the game-winning goal in the Mocs 21-9 win over Seton Hill... she led the south region with 145 total draw controls and was third in the region with 7.25 draw controls per game… Bursinger also set a career-high with 18 draw controls in the Mocs 14-12 victory at then-No. 20 Queens (N.C.), and hit the 400 career draw control mark in the Mocs' 15-6 victory to hand Saint Leo its first loss of the season… Bursinger ended her four years in Lakeland as the career leader in draw controls (439) and in a tie with former teammate, Emily Santoli for most career games played (86)… she is also among the top five in free position goals (29)… in addition, she ranks in the top-10 in numerous categories including, games started (65), goals scored (90), assists (74), points (164), shots (183), shots on goal (147), ground balls (90) and caused turnovers (47)… Bursinger closed out her collegiate playing career as a member of the Division II South all-Star team, where she totaled a pair of goals, won three draw controls and picked up a ground ball… her second goal on the day highlighted a four-goal comeback for the south as she tied the game at 13-13. The south would put the game-winning goal in the back of the net with 21 seconds remaining to win 14-13.  

AS A JUNIOR (2018)

appeared in 20 games with 18 starts… tallied a career-high 34 goals and 11 assists for 45 points on the year… picked up 19 ground balls and 100 draw controls… took 69 shots, with 53 of those shots coming on goal (76.8% SOG) … 13 multipoint efforts on the year… season-high seven points (5g/2a) in 17-16 upset over then No. 1 Adelphi (2/17)… led the team in draw controls … finished fourth on the team in goals and points… fifth in the conference with 5.00 draw controls per game.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2017)
HONORS: IWLCA first-team all-region ... first-team All-SSC ... SSC all-tournament team ... IWLCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week (3/15) ... SSC Defensive Player of the Week (3/13) ...
played in and started 24 games ... scored 26 goals and tallied 24 assists ... recorded three goals on four separate occasions ... picked up 27 groundballs and caused 14 turnovers ... scored four goals and four assists in postseason play ... ranked fifth nationally in draw controls per game (6.38).

AS A FRESHMAN (2016)
Appeared in 22 games and made four starts ... scored 12 goals on the season, including a season-high four against Shorter (3/9/16) ... also tallied 21 assists on the year, seven of which came against Shorter ... collected 13 ground balls and caused seven turnovers on the season ... tallied 33 points on the year ... took 29 shots, 26 of which were on goal ... ranked third on the team in assists.

HIGH SCHOOL
Was a two-time Team MVP as a junior and senior ... earned Second-Team All-Conference and All-Region honors as a junior ... was selected as a First-Team All-Conference and All-Region selection as a senior ... recorded 53 goals, 49 assists, 44 ground balls and had 84 draw controls as a senior ... earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors as a sophomore ... in the classroom, was a four-time Scholar-Athlete ... played club lacrosse for Lucky Lax for 2 years.
