2020-21 FSC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Representative for Softball
AS A JUNIOR (2020)
HONORS: SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… appeared in all 24 games for the Mocs… set new career-highs while leading the team with a .358 average… was third on the team with a .373 OBP… had 29 hits, three doubles, 18 RBI, and a career-high seven runs scored… had three hits in a game four different times, going 3-for-3 against Ursuline (Feb. 3) and No. 18 Alabama Huntsville (Feb. 8)… she had a career-day against Western Ontario (Feb. 21) going 3-for-4 in both games of a doubleheader while adding eight RBI between the two contests.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2019)
HONORS: SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… played in 18 games for the Moccasins … in 44 at-bats she recorded seven hits, drove in five runs, scored four runs, walked once, and struck out three times… she scored a run in both games of the doubleheader against Minnesota Duluth (March 18).
AS A FRESHMAN (2018)
Won a starting job during the preseason and started 38 games across three different positions (18 at third, 17 as the DP, and three at catcher) while typically hitting between fourth and sixth in the lineup… Tied for fourth on the team with 20 RBI and tied for second with nine doubles… After going 0-for-2 in the first game of the season, put together an 8-game hitting streak that included three 2-hit games… First career hit was a double in game two at Francis Marion that led to a run in a 6-3 Florida Southern victory (Feb. 7)… Hit her first career home run the following day in a 5-0 win at USC-Aiken in which she also had a sacrifice fly and two RBI (Feb. 8)… That home run was one of three in the span of four batters for Florida Southern in the top of the fourth inning, following solo blasts by Shannon Bell and Jenna Weldon… Went 4-for-12 with a double in her first career conference series against Tampa (Feb. 16-17)… Had two hits in each game of a doubleheader against Western Ontario, which included a pair of RBI doubles in the opener, and three RBI overall (Feb. 20)… That was one of three doubleheaders during the season in which she had two hits in each game, with the others coming against Chestnut Hill (March 5) and at Flagler (April 18)… Went 4-for-8 with two doubles and five RBI in the doubleheader at Flagler… Part of a 5-game streak late in the year in which she reached base safely twice in each of them, including the 2-hit games at Flagler, a 2-hit game vs. West Florida, a 2-hit game at Nova Southeastern, and a 2-walk game vs. West Florida… Florida Southern’s second-leading hitter over the last 10 games of the season, which covered conference series at Florida Tech and Nova Southeastern, and the doubleheaders with Flagler and West Florida, batting .367 with a .406 on-base percentage to close out the year… Singled and scored the only run of a 1-0 win over Wheeling Jesuit in which Kelli Gault threw a no-hitter (Feb. 27)… Missed nine games in the middle of the season due to injury and celebrated her return to the lineup with two RBI in a 6-3 win over Barry (March 23), and two more hits and two RBI the next day in an 11-8 win over the Buccaneers (March 24)… Had 10 multi-hit games overall and a team-leading eight multi-RBI games… Hit .340 (16-for-47) with runners in scoring position… One of her three starts at catcher was Jenna Weldon’s 6-inning perfect game against Chestnut Hill (March 5) in which she handled 13 of the 18 outs (12 strikeouts and one player called out for bunting out of the batter’s box).
HIGH SCHOOL
Came to Florida Southern as a 2017 graduate of nearby Bartow High School… First Team All-Polk County catcher as a senior when she hit .411 with a .459 on-base percentage, three home runs, and 19 RBI… Class 8A First Team All-State as a junior utility player… Hit a 3-run walk-off home run to win the 8A state championship game as a junior, giving Bartow a 5-2, 11-inning win over Countryside… Went 2-for-5 in the state championship game after going 2-for-5 with a double and one RBI against Strawberry Crest in the semifinals.
