One of Florida Southern’s seven returning All-Americans, picking up three of those awards in her freshman season.

As a freshman (2013-14)… Honorable Mention All-American in the 200-medley relay (13th place), 400-medley relay (10th place) and 400-freestyle relay (13th place)… Also competed in the 100-backstroke and 100-butterfly at the NCAA Division II National Finals… Helped Florida Southern win the Sunshine State Conference title in the 200-medley relay and 400-freestyle relay, and set a conference championship record in the 200-yard event with a time of 1:44.05… One of five Moccasins to participate in all 11 meets, including the Division II National Finals… Had two individual wins during the regular season, one in the 50-butterfly and one in the 100-butterfly… Part of eight team wins in different relay races (four in the 200-medley, three in the 400-medley, and one in the 400-freestyle)… Second on the school’s top times list in the 100-backstroke behind Lauren Reynolds, and had two of the Mocs’ five fastest times of the season in that event… Also second on the times list in the 200-backstroke to Reynolds… Florida Southern’s top swimmer in the 100-butterfly in four different meets, and the 200-butterfly twice… Time of 57.50 seconds in the 100-fly at the SSC Championships put her second on the team’s top times list for the season.

In high school… 2013 graduate of Moore High School in Moore, Oklahoma… Also attended South Moore High School from 2009-11… As a senior, finished third in the state in the 100-backstroke and 100-butterfly, and won the 100-backstroke and 100-freestyle at the conference championships… As a junior, placed fourth in the state in the 100-backstroke and 100-freestyle, won the 100-freestyle in conference, and was conference runner-up in the 100-backstroke… In her freshman year, was state runner-up in both the 100-backstroke and 200-IM, and won conference titles in the 200-freestyle and 500-freestyle… Was also part of a state record in the 200-medley relay during her time at Moore High School… Graduated with honors after achieving a 4.0 GPA all four years… High-point swimmer at the Oklahoma Age Groups competition in the summer of 2012… Personal… Daughter of Scott and Cheryl Ballard… Has one sister (Rachel) and one brother (Bradley)… Born February 10, 1995… Major: undecided.
