Steven Bostick was announced as the head men's and women's swimming coach by Director of Athletics and Dean of Wellness Drew Howard on June 18, 2025. Bostick takes over as the sixth head coach of both programs after the retirement of Andy Robins.
Bostick makes the move to Lakeland after spending nine seasons at Ouachita Baptist University as the head swimming coach. In his near decade leading both the men's and women's swim team at Ouachita, Bostick recruited and coached more than a dozen All-Americans and even more Academic All-Americans and was named the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Coach of the Year three times, including back-to-back honors in the 2024 and 2025 seasons. This past year, Bostick led the men’s team to the NSISC championship and an unblemished 10-0 record in dual meets. The NSISC championship was the first conference title for the men’s team since 2000. Bostick has helped provide major facility upgrades to Waggoner Pool, such as new diving boards, starting blocks, and locker rooms, during his nine seasons leading the Tigersharks.
Prior to his time at OBU, Bostick was the Buchholz High School Swimming Coach from 2010-2014. He was a four-year letterman for Ouachita’s swimming and diving team, graduating in 2008 with a BA in accounting.
