Biography
As a freshman (2013-14)… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Competed in 10 meets during the season… Had her best performances of the season in the Nova Southeastern Sharks Invitational in late December when she posted her best times in three backstroke events and the 50-freestyle… Finished the year with career-best times in the 100-freestyle and 200-freestyle at the SSC Championships.
In high school… 2013 graduate of Weddington High School in Matthews, North Carolina… Swam four years for coach Jay McGarity… 4-time all-conference selection… Selected as team MVP as a junior and senior, and was also team captain in both of those seasons… Named an AP Scholar as a junior, and AP Scholar With Distinction as a senior… Also competed for Stingray Aquatics… Former high school teammate Madi Rowan is also a sophomore swimmer for the Moccasins… Personal… Has four siblings, with an older brother (Alex), older sister (Haley), younger sister (Margaret) and younger brother (Hudson)… Born March 8, 1995… Major: Math.
