The 11th-ranked Moccasins picked up a pair of wins Friday to run their current winning streak to seven straight matches.
Playing at Florence, Ala., the Moccasins beat Ala.-Huntsville, 25-11, 25-18, 25-23, in their opening match, then finished their day with a 25-17, 25-23, 25-23 win over #20 West Florida.
The two wins raise FSC's record to 19-4.
Against Ala.-Huntsville, Danielle Higginbotham posted a team-high 12 kills, while Maggie Drumm added eight and hit. 700 for the match. Against West Florida, Danielle Durham recorded her 12th double-double of the season and the 47th of her career with 12 kills and 12 digs. Julia Borecka added 10 kills.
With her double-double, Durham achieved another career milestone, becoming just the fourth player in FSC history to surpass 1,600 digs and 1,200 digs in a career. She joins Beverly Stasis, Sara Stewart and Jill Stephens in that group and now has 1,605 career digs and 1,205 career kills.
The Moccasins finish their three-match trip to Alabama by taking on host North Alabama Saturday at 2 p.m. (CT).
