Freshman Kelly Ruf set a school record in the 50-yard freestyle in the Moccasins' home double-dual meet against Savannah College of Art & Design and Saint Leo Saturday. Her second-place time of 25.69 seconds broke the previous record of 25.78 seconds set by Christa Pavlick in 2005. Ruf had FSC's only individual win against Saint Leo and swam the anchor leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that also won over Saint Leo in a time of 1:45.99.
SCAD defeated the Moccasins 82-13 and Saint Leo topped the Moccasins 68-27.
The Moccasins' next meet is Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Hollis Wellness Center Pool against Rollins.
