SAINT LEO - Led by Chelsea Johnson's 27 points, the Moccasins rolled to their second win in as many days, downing Ala.-Huntsville 93-64 at the Saint Leo Sleep Inn Classic Sunday.
Johnson, who averaged 18.6 points to lead the team last season, hit eight of 13 from the field, including four three-pointers, and was seven of nine from the free throw line. She scored eight of FSC's first 10 points, as it took less than five minutes for the Moccasins to build a 10-point lead. They increased the margin to 43-20 at halftime and UAH never got closer than 24 points in the second half.
Emer Foley, who recorded 13 double-doubles last season, notched her first of this season with a 15-point, 13-rebound effort in 21 minutes off the bench. Nicolle DiRaimo added 13 points and Megan Dzikas, who led the team with 24 points in Saturday's season-opener, tossed in 12 points off the bench.
The Moccasins (2-0) shot 48.6 percent from the field, while UAH shot just 33.3 percent. FSC outrebounded the Chargers, 53-40 for the game.
FSC is idle until Saturday, when the Moccasins play a 2 p.m. game at Georgia Southwestern in Americus, Ga
