BOCA RATON - A 15-0 run by Lynn midway through the second half was too much for the Moccasins to overcome and they dropped a 72-64 decision to the Fighing Knights here Saturday night.
The loss dropped the Moccasins to 13-4 overall, 4-3 in the Sunshine State Conference, while Lynn improved to 13-5, 4-3 in the SSC.
The Moccasins led 48-43 with 11:41 left in the game, but Lynn then reeled off 15 unanswered points to go up 58-48 with 8:00 left and the Moccasins could get no closer than five points the rest of the way.
After shooting 46.4 percent from the field in the first half, the Moccasins cooled off to just 29.4 percent in the second half. With a decided height advantage inside, Lynn was able to outrebound the Moccasins 47-30.
Emer Foley and Megan Dzikas led the Moccasins with 14 points each. Foley also had 10 rebounds to record her third double-double of the season. Alli Fogle grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds to go with 12 points for her first double-double and Chelsea Johnson added 13 points in the setback.
Lynn was led by a 19-point, 11-rebound performance off the bench by 6-1 forward Madeleine Doyle.
The Moccasins play at Nova Southeastern Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
