DAVIE - The Moccasins outscored Nova Southeastern 11-4 in the final six minutes to record their 12th straight win, 69-62, here Wednesday night.
The Moccasins improved to 18-4, 7-1 in the Sunshine State Conference, and set the stage for a first-place SSC showdown with Rollins Saturday at Jenkins Field House. Rollins defeated Eckerd 77-61 to remain tied with the Moccasins.
After FSC held a 32-30 advantage at halftime, NSU built a 47-40 lead with 14:48 left. The Mocs pulled even at 49-49, then took the lead for good, 60-58, on a pair of free throws by Rion Rayfield with 4:52 remaiing.
Terry Jenkins came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points for FSC. Rob Eldridge was the only other Moccasin in double figures with 14 points.
Tom Coenraad led the Sharks with 21 points.
