Box Score North Alabama avenged a loss to the Moccasins earlier this season with a 25-23, 25-7, 25-19 win over the Moccasins Friday at the South Region Crossover in Tampa.
The loss dropped FSC's record to 10-12, while UNA improved to 13-11.
The Moccasins had beaten the Lions in five sets in a Sept. 11 match at Pensacola.
In Friday's first set, the Moccasins rallied from a 13-5 deficit to take a 22-21 lead, but the Lions scored four of the final five points to claim the set. Trailing two sets to none, the Moccasins made another rally in the third set, coming from 14-5 down to get as close as 14-13, but they could get no closer and North Alabama closed out the match.
Anna Greenwood led the Moccasins with six kills.
Saturday the Moccasins play No. 24 ranked West Florida at 11 a.m. and Arkansas-Monticello at 5:45 p.m. at Tampa.
