Box Score Led by double-doubles from Julia Borecka and Anne Pietkiewicz for the second straight match, the Moccasins topped Rollins, 25-16, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22, Saturday in their Sunshine State Conference match at Winter Park.
Borecka had a team-hgh 21 kills, added 11 digs and hit .447 for the match to post her fourth double-double of the season. Pietkiewicz registered a season-high 17 kills to go with 12 digs while hitting .394 for the match, claiming her sixth double-double of the season.
Natalie Arvizu came off the bench to record a career-high 10 kills and hit .429, while Courtney Johnson led the Moccasin defensive effort with a team-high 14 digs and Elise Burke delivered 56 assists, while adding 12 digs. Erin Callahan returned to action for the first time since Sept. 4, when she injured an ankle. She played in two sets and had a kill and a block.
The win was the Moccasins' seventh straight against the Tars and improved their all-time series lead to 74-5.
Now 9-4 on the season and 2-0 in the SSC, the Moccasins return to action Friday with a 7 p.m. match at Jenkins Field House against Barry.
