Box Score Led by Julia Borecka's fourth straight double-double and a career-high kill total for Natalie Arvizu, the 17th-ranked Moccasins won their third straight Sunshine State Conference match Friday night at Jenkins Field House, downing Barry 25-19, 23-25, 27-25, 25-23.
Borecka had a match-high 19 kills and 15 digs, while hitting .375. It was her fifth double-double of the season. Arvizu came off the bench to notch 17 kills and hit .429 for the match, while Anne Pietkiewicz added 15 kills, as the Moccasins hit .336 for the match.
The win was FSC's eighth straight over the Buccaneers and snapped their seven-match winning streak. It also started a string of six straight SSC matches for the Moccasins against teams that are either nationally-ranked or are receiving votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll.
The Moccasins are right back in action Saturday with a 4 p.m. match against Lynn at Jenkins Field House.
