Box Score With Ashley Martin surpassing the 1,000 mark in career kills, the Moccasins extended their current winning streak to five straight matches with a five-set win, 23-25, 25-14, 26-24, 13-25, 17-15, at Flagler Tuesday night.
The win boosted the Moccasins' record to 14-4, while Flagler slipped to 16-7.
Martin led the Moccasins with 17 kills, one short of her season high. She surpassed 1,000 kills in the second set and now has 1,009 for her FSC career.
Lauren Huber added 11 kills and her final two came back-to-back to close out the match, breaking a 15-15 tie in the deciding fifth set. Diana Castrillon, Anne Pietkiewicz and Natalie Arvizu each collected seven kills. Anna Niebuhr led the defensive effort with 17 digs.
Meg Weathersby led Flagler with 23 kills.
The Moccasins are the host for the South Region Crossover Tournament starting Thursday night at 7 when they take on North Alabama at Jenkins Field House. Tampa, Lynn, West Alabama and West Florida also will participate in the tournament Friday and Saturday.
