Cara Potter was a double winner for the Moccasins, but Nova Southeastern won eight of 11 events to capture Saturday's dual meet at Ft. Lauderdale, 116-85.
Potter won the 100-yard freestyle in 54.00 and the 200-yard freestyle in 2:00.15. She also swam the first leg for the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team. She was followed by Kelly Ruf, Anna McIntyre and Lisa Menne, as the Moccasins won in a time of 3:41.68.
Individual second-place finishes for the Moccasins came from Ruf in the 50-yard freestyle (25.50), Kelsey Duncan in the 200-yard butterfly (2:16.25). Taylor Reynolds in the 200-yard backstroke (2:18.20) and Kaitlyn Smith in the 500-yard freestyle (5:33.73).
The Moccasins' next meet is their home opener Oct. 29 against Savannah College of Art & Design.
