Box Score With four players hitting .500 or better, including a double-double from Anne Pietkiewicz, the Moccasins beat Saint Leo in three sets, 26-24, 25-18, 25-20, in their Sunshine State Conference match at Jenkins Field House Friday night.
The win boosts the Moccasins into a three-way tie for second in the SSC with Barry and Lynn at 8-3 and improves their overall mark to 18-6. Saint Leo fell to 12-11, 7-5 in the SSC.
Pietkiewicz and Ashley Martin each tallied 10 kills to lead FSC. Pietkiewicz hit .500 for the match and added 13 digs for her fourth double-double of the season and the 14th of her career.
Martin hit .562 for the match, while Lauren Huber picked up nine kills and hit .600 and setter Ali Skayhan joined the offensive display with three kills, while hitting .750.
As a team the Moccasins hit .324 for the match.
Saint Leo was led by Danielle Bletso, who had 12 kills, but the Lions hit just .209 for the match.
The Moccasins take on first-place Tampa Saturday at 7 p.m. at Jenkins Field House. It will be Dig Pink Night as Moccasin fans encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
