Box Score Trailing two sets to one, the Moccasins rallied to win the final two sets and post a five-set road win over Rollins, 25-23, 27-29, 17-25, 25-18, 15-8, Tuesday night at Winter Park.
The win was the Moccasins' third straight and improved their record to 12-4, 5-2 in the Sunshine State Conference. Rollins dropped to 10-6, 3-4 in the SSC.
Breaking a 13-13 tie, the Moccasins pulled way to win the fourth set 25-18 to even the match, then took charge in the deciding fifth set, jumping out to a 5-0 lead and leading the rest of the way.
Diana Castrillon led a balanced offensive attack with a season-high 17 kills. Anne Pietkiewicz notched her second straight double-double with a 16-kill, 11-dig effort and Lauren Huber added 11 kills and four blocks while hitting .526 for the match. That was enough to offset a 30-kill, 23-dig effort by Rollins' Sarah Mendoza.
Anna Niebuhr delivered a team-high 16 digs, while Kendall Wilde and Ali Skayhan both posted double-doubles of their own. Wilde collected 29 assists and 15 digs and Skayhan had 24 assists and 14 digs.
The Moccasins are on the road Friday for a 7 p.m. SSC match at Eckerd.
