Box Score After producing an impressive .365 hitting percentage in Friday night's three-set win over Lynn, the Moccasins were even more impressive Saturday, as they hit a season-best .391 in cruising to a three-set win over Barry, 25-10, 25-13, 25-16, at Jenkins Field House.
The win gave the Moccasins a sweep of their two weekend Sunshine State Conference matches and boosted their record to 13-10 overall, 7-4 in the SSC. Barry fell to 9-12, 1-9 in the SSC. Saturday's match took just over an hour to play.
Lauren Huber led the Moccasins' offensive effort with 11 kills and no errors, hitting .550. Anne Pietkiewicz added 10 kills, also had no errors and hit .476.
Next up for the Moccasins will be unbeaten and second-ranked Tampa, which is 23-0 after beating Lynn in four sets Saturday. Match time is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Jenkins Field House. It will be Dig Pink Night and fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match to show their support for breast cancer awareness.
