The Moccasins came up short in their meet against Division I Florida Atlantic Saturday in Miami, losing 147-90.
Freshman Allan Gutierrez had the Moccains' top performance, winning one event, finishing second in two others and posting season-best times in all three. He won the 500-yard freestyle in 4:43.59 and was second in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:54.62) and the 200-yard butterfly (1:57.53).
Jeb Halfacre had the Moccasins' other individual win, taking the 200-yard backstroke in 1:51.85. The Moccasins also won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:35.11 with the team of Halfacre, Miguel Ferreira, Bruce Janzen and Robbie Swan.
The Moccains' next meet is Nov. 18 against Indian River and Daytona State at Ft. Pierce.
