RICHMOND, Va. --- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released the Preseason edition of the Division II Top 25 dual meet poll, with Florida Southern College men's team ranked No. 9 and women's team ranked No. 19.
Both swimming teams were ranked inside the top 25 at the start of the 2025-26 season, now in its second year under the leadership of head coach
Steven Bostick. It's the men's highest ranking in the CSCAA Top 25 poll since the 2021-22 season, with the women staying the the top 20 since October of last season.
The men's swimming team, which finished 10
th place overall at the NCAA championships in March, earned a major top-ten ranking with a number of returning NCAA qualifiers. Six of the eight Mocs who earned All-American honors last season return to Lakeland to have an even better upcoming season, including
Peter Csicsaky,
Matheus Da Rocha, Daniel Mesazaros,
Will Neville,
Simeon Prosinski and
Michael Tretyakov.
On the women's side, which finished 4th in the SSC Championships last season and sent individuals to the NCAA National Championship, was ranked No. 19 in the first dual meet poll of the 2026-27 season. The team return many important swimmers, including now sophomores in
Mallory Baker and
Natalie True, who both etched their names in the record book last season.
The teams open their seasons with a conference dual meet at Florida Tech on Oct. 16th at 3 p.m. in Melbourne before their home opener the following day (Oct. 17th) against Tampa at 12 p.m.
