Tim King named FSC Lacrosse Assistant

Tim King has been named assistant lacrosse coach at Florida Southern College. He will be the top assistant to head coach Marty Ward, who is in his first season as head coach.

“Tim brings a wealth of knowledge to our lacrosse program at FSC, his work ethic and organizational skills along with on-field coaching ability make him a solid coach. We are happy to have Tim join the program,” said head coach Marty Ward.

Prior to coming to Florida Southern, King served as the defensive coordinator at Community College of Baltimore County-Essex for the past two seasons. There he helped coach the team to two Region XX Championships and two National Tournament appearances. CCBC had ten all-region players and six All-Americans.

King has also served as the co-head coach for the Maryland prep school varsity high school team at the Adidas High School National Tournament. His team ended up winning the National Tournament that featured 28 teams.

King played midfield and attack at Essex Community College for two seasons. He then transferred to University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he finished out his college career as a midfielder.

King holds a bachelors degree in broadcasting from UMBC.
