LAKELAND, Fla. – Senior
Jacob Czyz of the Florida Southern College men's lacrosse team was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II Team of the Week for his performances versus Saint Leo and Lynn this past week. This marks the fourth career Team of the Week honor for Czyz and the second honor this season for the Mocs. Czyz is the first Moccasin to achieve four Team of the Week honors in a career with former Mocs
Jeff Atlas (2019-22),
Lucas Claude (2015-18), and
Nick Shannon (2020-24) all claiming two honors.

Czyz had another outstanding week at the faceoff for Florida Southern. He began the week winning 16-of-26 (.615) faceoffs, assisting on a goal and scooping up a game-high 10 ground balls on the road at Saint Leo. He then went 20-of-24 (.833) versus Lynn at home while scoring his fourth goal of the season and securing 12 ground balls. He currently leads the country in ground balls per game (11.82) and ranks second in face-off winning percentage (.693).

Czyz and the rest of the Moccasins will be back in action tonight, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. as they travel to No. 11 Florida Tech for their final road Sunshine State Conference game of the season.
