LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's lacrosse coaching staff has been busy, with all three coaches presenting at the recent 2020 IMLCA Virtual Convention. The Convention opened on December 7, and concludes on December 9, 2020.

The virtual convention featured 15 unique content formats and more than 30 interactive sessions, in more than 100 hours worth of programming from over 80 different speakers and presenters. Open to all members of the organization, FSC head coach Marty Ward has been a part of the convention planning committee for the past three years.

Ward, who is in his tenth year at Florida Southern, participated in a diversity panel on Tuesday, December 8, titled "From the Ground Up: A Coaches Conversation on Race, Social Justice, and Why it Matters in the Game of Lacrosse."

Assistant coach D. J. Lubs presented on Monday afternoon, a session entitled "Skills and Drills to Develop a Great Defenseman." Assistant coach Matt Maccario took part in the "Assistant Coach Hot Seat" discussions on Tuesday, along with Chestnut Hill assistant coach Alec Dambach.

This is the second consecutive year that Maccario has presented at the IMLCA Convention. In 2019, his lecture was entitled, "Odd Number Drills to Improve 6v6 Offense/Defense."
