TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Erin Mirabile repeated her performance from day one while Kayla Maxwell took first in Limit Over Fences as Florida Southern College Equestrian took sixth at the Florida State University show on Sunday.
Emily Shoaff (Open Flat), Mirabile (Limit Over Fences) and Andrea Frias Vellon (Introductory Flat) all took second in their respective events. Maxwell (Limit Flat), Amy Clark (Limit Flat), Meg Thompson (Novice Flat), and Isis Gallardo-Alvarez (Introductory Flat) all finished third in their events. Morgan Jarrett finished fourth in Novice Flat.
Based on the results from this meet, Thompson has now qualified for regionals. She joins Aleena Hess and Emily Shoaff who qualified last semester.
Savannah College of Art and Design was named the champion with 41 points while the University of Central Florida was named Reserve Champion with 35 points. Tampa (33 pts.), Florida State (31 pts.) and Florida Atlantic (30 pts.) rounded out the top five. Florida Southern finished in sixth place with 27 points.
