TAMPA, Fla. – The Florida Southern women's swim team lose to #12 Tampa on Friday afternoon.
The women's team is ranked #19 in the CSCAA Preseason Poll, but lost a tough match against the ranked Spartans in a 190-72 team score. Freshman
Olivia Miles had three event wins in the meet.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miles won both the 500 and 1000 yard freestyle events
- For the 200 yard IM, Miles took home first
- Maja Eriksson finished in second in the 200 yard freestyle
- Teagan Michalek had a third place performance in the 100 yard backstroke
- Last week's SSC Women's Swimmer of the Week recipient, Jazzy Hoffmann, finished third in the 50 yard freestyle
- Eriksson notched a third place finish in the 100 yard freestyle
- Emily Peck had a second place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke
- Kennidi TenEyck finished second in the 100 yard butterfly
- Team of Rachel Cunningham, Erin McCann, Eriksson, and Hoffmann finished third in the 200 yard freestyle relay
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Miles had all three of the event wins for the Mocs
- The Mocs had 10 total event finishes in the top three
