ORLANDO, Fla. - The Florida Southern women's golf team finished the first two rounds of play at the Rollins Legends Invitational standing in 5th place with a combined score of 603 on Monday evening.
The Mocs shot 309 in the first round and 294 in their second round of play, picking it up to shoot 15 under their first round score at day one of the Rollins Legends Invitational.
Senior, Loren Perez had a standout performance, finishing the day tied for second. Perez shot par (72) in both rounds of play today, finishing at the top of the Mocs lineup with an individual combined score of 144. Perez finishes the day only 3 strokes behind the first place spot.
Second for the Mocs finishing 22nd overall was junior, Lacey Tucker, with a combined score of 151 (78, 73) finishing her second round just one-over par. Nathalie Svensson finished only one point behind Tucker, tied for 23rd overall. Freshman, Marissa Cardenas finished tied for 40th, with a combined score of 156 (80, 76). Rounding out the Mocs lineup, senior, Elizabeth Harding finished the day 67th with a combined score of 169 (83, 86).
Sophomore Margaux Bonafe competed in the tournament as an individual and finished the day tied for 60th, shooting a combined score of 161 (80, 81).
The Mocs look to finish the third round of play tomorrow with the first tee set for 8:00 A.M. at the Rollins Legends Invitational in Orlando, Florida.
