LAKELAND, Fla. – On Saturday, October 9, the Florida Southern College volleyball team will welcome a host of former student-athletes to Jenkins Field House for alumni weekend and a 45th anniversary celebration.
Festivities begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with an alumni match inside Jenkins Field House. The Mocs, who are scheduled for a Sunshine State Conference match against Nova Southeastern at 4:00 p.m., will then recognize alumni in attendance during their contest against the Sharks.
Volleyball has been a staple of the Florida Southern athletics programs over the past 45 years. Since winning their first-ever match on September 29, 1976, the Mocs have established themselves as one of the premier programs in all of NCAA Division II. The 2017 national runner-up, FSC ranks fourth all-time in D-II postseason tournament appearances and 11th in postseason victories. The Mocs have also won a total of 46 All-America accolades.
