LAKELAND, Fla. — Florida Southern College women's basketball picked up a win over Davenport at home in their final game of the Terrace Hotel Christmas Classic by a score of 85-57 on Saturday at Jenkins Field House at the Streamline Sale Arena in Lakeland, Florida on Saturday afternoon.
"We got a lot of good experience, we played a lot of good basketball," said head coach
Betsy Harris. "It is just trying to get it together and finish it. The biggest thing is we haven't been showing effort every second of every minute of every quarter. I felt like tonight we finally did that. Everybody was going in for rebounds…whether we win or lose that's all I ask of them, just give effort and I can be happy with that because we can build on that."
Florida Southern improves to 4-6 overall and remains at 2-2 in the Sunshine State.
