WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Florida Southern men's basketball cruised to an 85-73 win on the road at Sunshine State Conference foe, Palm Beach Atlantic Saturday afternoon inside Rubin Arena.

"Yesterday we probably had our best practice of the year," head coach
Mike Donnelly started after the road win. "It was great to see our quality of play carry over today to get a big road win."

E.J. Dambreville notched a double-double in the win, which improved Florida Southern's record to 8-12 and 6-7 in league play. Dambreville dropped a game-high 23 points and hauled in 11 rebounds for the Moccasins. The guard out of Dorchester, Mass. went 8-for-11 from the field, including a 5-for-7 night from beyond the arc and 2-for-3 from the free-throw line. The double-double for Dambreville is his eighth of the season and his fourth 20-plus point game.

All 10 moccasins that played in the contest registered points with
Xavier Rhodes trailing Dambreville with 13 points, with
Jack Casale at 11.
Wes Bongiorni and
Luke Anderson added nine points apiece while
Tarik Mckelphin was at six,
Dominick Denny and
Babatunde Ajike had four and
Jadin Booth and
DeAndre Campbell with three.

Donnelly continued, "We had really solid production from many different players, but E.J. was terrific and led us with a great performance."

Will Lee led Palm Beach Atlantic (5-14, 5-8 SSC) with 20 points on the night with Alexander Gorton and Jakob Hester joining in double-digits. Gorton added 16 points for the Sailfish while Hester notched 14

Florida Southern jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back.
Jack Casale drained a three to start things off before
E.J. Dambreville converted a layup to give the Mocs a quick 5-0 lead. FSC carried a 17-point advantage into halftime, 47-30, controlling the pace of the entire opening half. Â

The Sailfish came out with back-to-back buckets in the second to cut it quickly to 12 points 47-35, but the Mocs withstood the rally and pushed the lead out to 21, the largest of the game at 61-40 and again at 63-42 on free throws from Dambreville and a jumper from
Babatunde Ajike, with 13 minutes to play. Florida Southern would control and maintain a double-digit lead through to the final buzzer, going for the season sweep of the 'Fish with n 85-73 decision Saturday.
