FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Florida Southern College women's swimming team had a great showing on day one of the Shark Invitational, hosted by Nova Southeastern University at the NSU Aquatic Center Friday afternoon.
The Mocs sit in fourth place in the women's competition of six total teams. The University of Tampa is first, with Nova Southeastern close behind in second. Savannah College of Art and Design hold a 0.5-point advantage over FSC, with Florida Tech and St. Thomas University the remaining teams.
Junior
Jazzy Hoffmann leads the Mocs in points with top 11 finishes in each of her four events today. Hoffmann placed sixth in the 50 free with a time of 24.24.
Erin McCann added another great showing with top ten finishes in the 400 medley relay, 500 free, and 200 free relay. Freshman
Phoebe Reid scored 14.5 points for the Mocs with top 20 finishes in her events and top 10 in the 400-medley relay and 200 free relay.

The Mocs will compete again tomorrow for the final day of the Shark Invitational in Fort Lauderdale, set for an 8:30 am start at the NSU Aquatic Center.
