TAMPA, Fla. – A tough ranked matchup for No. 10 Florida Southern College women's swimming as they drop a dual meet against No.2 Tampa Friday afternoon at the Riseman Aquatics Center.
The Mocs completed with 74 points and a handful of event wins but the Spartans were strong from the start and won with 188 points and dual meet win.
Sophomore
Olivia Miles was the first to tally an event win for the Mocs after she won the 1000 free. Newcomer
Elizabeth Sikes followed up from a great meet at FSU to get an event win in the 200 fly. Miles earned her second event win of the night in the 500 free.
In addition to the three event wins, Florida Southern had great podium finishes including
Maja Eriksson in the 200 free and 500 free. Senior
Erin McCann also had a second place finish in the 500 free, and Sikes second in the 100 fly.
The Mocs have a quick turnaround with a home meet against Lynn tomorrow morning, set for a 10 a.m. start at the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center Pool.
