LAKELAND, Fla. – A close meet for the Florida Southern College women's swimming team against No. 16 Lynn University Saturday morning at the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center Pool.
The Mocs lost to the Fighting Knights 140-122, but still had a great meet with event wins just one day removed from a conference meet against Tampa yesterday afternoon.
Olivia Miles continued her great run with another event win the 1000 free, after winning in yesterday's meet. In the 200 free
Erin McCann and
Maja Eriksson finished second and third, as
Elizabeth Sikes took third in the 100 back. Another second and third-place finish for the Mocs in the 100 breast as
Emily Peck and
Brooke Brennan took part.
In the 50 free,
Rachel Cunningham had a great job with a second-place finish, and
Teagan Michalek and
Anya Bogdanova took second and third in the 200 back.
Another event win for the Mocs came in the 200 breast with Peck the winner, followed by a podium sweep by Eriksson, Miles and McCann in the 500 free. Peck continued her run with a win in the 200 IM as Florida Southern was second and third in both the 400 free relay and 200 medley relay.
Mocs will travel to Melbourne in two weeks to take part in the Panther Invitational Nov. 18-20.
