VALDOSTA, Ga. – The 13
th ranked Florida Southern College men's golf team shaved strokes off their tally following the first two rounds of the 2022 First Federal Southeastern Collegiate. The Moccasins opened the tournament with a 9-over 297 and followed that up with just a four-over 292 for a 36-hole score of 589 (+13) on the par-72 7,461-yard course at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club, the host of the 2022 NCAA DII South/Southeast Regional.

The Mocs opened the day with a nine-over 297 with
Sam Rogers leading the way at one-over 73. He was followed by
Johnny Tucker and
Adam Alvarez with 74's.
Noah Kumar shot a 76 in the opening round and
Clay Tucker a 77.

Florida Southern shaved five strokes off the team tally as Rogers followed suit with another 73 to head to Tuesday's final round at 146 (+2). C. Tucker notched a team-best 70 (-2) to sit at three-over 147 for the tournament thus far. J. Tucker card a second straight 74 for his second round to sit at four-over 148. Alvarez is fourth on the team at five-over 149 with a 75 second round with Kumar at eight-over 152 with a 76 second round.
