BRADENTON, Fla. - Florida Southern women's tennis team fell to the top ranked Barry University Buccaneers at the Sunshine State Conference Championship quarterfinals Friday morning with a 4-0 loss at IMG Academy.

The Mocs began the day falling in the doubles point as Barry's two top-5 ranked pairings took down the Moccasins.
Mathilda Vidgren and
Laura Vetter fell 2-6 to the number five ranked pairing of Madeline Bosnjack and Deniz Khazan; and
Minnie Kim and
Kelly Klaren fell 6-0 to the second ranked pairing of Kim Moosbacher and Daniela Farfan.
Vivien Charvatova and
Maxima Ellenberg were only down 3-4 when Barry clinched the doubles point to leave the match unfinished. Â

The Buccaneers clinched the win after three singles wins. No. 75 Vidgren battled the top player in Division II women's tennis at the one-seed of singles play. Vidgren could not outlast Khazan as she fell 0-6, 0-6 to put the Bucs up 2-0 on the day.
Isabella Bolivar was the last to fall, as Daniela Farfan was up 6-0, 6-1 to put the Bucs through to the conference semifinals.Â

Olivia Bryant was playing well for the Mocs, as she was up in her first set 7-5 when her match was unfinished.Â

Following the 4-0 loss, the Mocs fell to 11-10 on the season and 3-7 against conference opponents.Â
