LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College men's basketball earned the program's 100
th win over the visiting University of Tampa Spartans Wednesday night, 96-67 at Streamline Sale Court inside the George W. Jenkins Field House.

Mike Donnelly commented. "I'm very happy with our effort and execution at both ends of the floor tonight. I thought we played with great energy and purpose for 40 minutes. Balanced effort all the way around."

Florida Southern improves to 12-5 on the year and 6-4 in Sunshine State Conference play. The Moccasins also improve to 100-66 all-time against the Spartans with a 57-24 home record.

Jadin Booth paced the Mocs in scoring with 19 points, making four three-pointers while finishing with three assists and two rebounds.

Tampa (6-10, 5-5 SSC) saw both Tyson Leitao and Mykah Brown lead the way with 21 points. Leitao capped his double-double with 10 rebounds for the Spartans.

Florida Southern controlled the entirety of the game, never trailing and holding a lead for 39:47 of the 40-minute contest. The Mocs started off hot with three straight jumpers from
Luke Anderson,
Dominick Denny, and
E.J. Dambreville, before the Spartans finally registered a point at the 16:33 mark, a three from Mykah Brown.

The Mocs used an eight-point run to climb up to 11 points, 19-8, before cruising into halftime up 18, 48-30.

Tampa would chip away at the lead, and bring it to a 19-point deficit, 51-32 and again 65-46, before Florida Southern continued to lead by 20-plus-points for the remainder of the game. The Mocs climbed out to their largest lead of 29 points, 96-67, which was the game's final on a Farris Kabaloui layup with 35 seconds to play.
