CLEARWATER, Fla. – Florida Southern College women's swimming remains in fifth overall after completing day three of the Sunshine State Conference Championships Friday night at the Long Center in Clearwater, Fla.
Mocs totaled 188 points through three days of competition, just a few points behind Rollins with 191.5 in fourth. Nova Southeastern (509), Tampa (383), and Lynn (226.5) round out the top three in order.
The Friday finals opened with the 100 fly,
Allie Brinton finished seventh with a time of 56.06 in the A final as
Elizabeth Sikes represented the Mocs in the B final with a time of 56.97 and fifth in her heat.
Erin McCann was the sole FSC swimmer in the 200 free A final with a 1:50.67 B standard time with
In the 400 IM, in which
Olivia Miles represented the Mocs in the A final, and a team-best fourth place in the final. Miles finished with a time of 4:26.74 and B standard time. In the consolation final,
Anya Bogdanova finished with a time of 4:41.88 and
Annalise Eisold in 4:42.18 for the 400 IM.
The night ended with the 400 medley relay which Florida Southern nearly took a podium spot in the A final but was just short with a time of 3:47.57 fourth-place finish by
Teagan Michalek,
Alizee Pelletier,
Allie Brinton, and
Erin McCann. In the consolation final, Mocs team of Bogdanova,
Brooke Brennan, Sikes, and
Phoebe Reid was fourth in their heat with a time of 3:55.75.
Day four of the SSC Championships will begin with prelims at 10 a.m. and the finals at 6 p.m. at the Long Center. Events will be the 500 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 200 fly, and the 200 free relay.
