The Mocs (3-3, 1-3 SSC) lost the doubles point in a tough battle and were unable to outlast Rollins on the singles courts. The Tars (3-1, 2-0 SSC) battled with third set tiebreakers and fought from behind on some courts to beat the Mocs and remain undefeated in conference play.
Florida Southern had a great first doubles court win by
Chris Fok Kow and
Matteo Feggi 6-3 but that would be it for flight wins for the Mocs.
Danny Thomas and
Inaki Braun Simo lost 6-4 on #3 in a tough battle with court #2 the doubles point decider.
Ryan Rajakar and
Mario Garoz fought from behind to tie the court 6-6 but were unable to finish as they lost in a tiebreak game.
With the doubles point to the Tars, FSC battled on all six courts, with three courts going to a tiebreaker third set. Fok Kow lost his court in two, as did Braun Simo and Feggi, with four points to the Mocs. Despite the match loss, FSC had wins by Garoz on #3 as he won the first set and outlasted Rollins in the tiebreak. Similar story for
Alex Fascio as he rebounded from a set one loss to win the next two and the second point for the Mocs. Despite a set one win and a big lead in the second set,
